Some Anxiety
It was a gloomy cold day in late november, at about three in the afternoon , when the darkness of an autumn evening seemed to descend upon the hills , concealing them in heavy grey cloud. The air was freezing , and seemed to penetrate through the tightly closed coach windows. There must have been a small crack in the coach roof , for the leather seats felt damp , and drops of rain fell softly inside every now and then , leaving a blue stain similar to a mark made by ink on the leather seat . The fierce wind was blowing hard against the coach whose wheels sank into muddy holes and threw up mud against the windows and blocked out the view.
Mary yellan was one of the passengers travelling in the coach who were sittine close together to get warm. mary was unfortunate for she sat where the rain drops fell through the crack in the roof , and she had to brush these drops away with impatinent fingers.
